Moving inventory is not the same job as shipping one family car. You are working to a sales deadline, a lot that is only open certain hours, and stock that cannot pick up kilometres on the way. Interlane moves vehicles for dealerships, dealer groups and wholesalers across Canada and over the border.
That covers dealer trades between rooftops, inventory rebalancing between locations, auction pickups and auction-to-auction runs, and delivering a sold unit directly to a customer in another province.
Single unit or a full load, the booking works the same way — one contact, one schedule, and a record of condition at both ends.

Inventory movement has its own set of problems — odometers, lot access, multi-unit coordination and knowing where a car is when a customer asks. These are the parts we build around.
Give us the vehicles, the pickup point and where they need to land. One booking covers the whole batch, whether that is a single dealer trade or a dozen units off an auction lane.
Pickup is planned around your operating hours and how your lot is accessed, so a carrier is not arriving when nobody is there to release the vehicles.
Each unit is documented before it is loaded, so there is a shared record of how it left you and how it arrived.
Follow the load through the platform rather than chasing updates by phone, and have it delivered to your other rooftop or straight to the customer who bought it.

We had a vehicle that needed to be delivered to a customer out of province, and Interlane made the entire process stress-free. The communication was excellent, and the car was delivered right to the customer’s door without any issues. This level of service keeps our customers coming back.

Can you move several vehicles at once?
Yes. We coordinate multi-unit transfers as a single booking, so one carrier handles the batch rather than you arranging each vehicle separately. Volume moves are scheduled around your operating hours and your lot access, and you get one point of contact for the whole load rather than a separate thread per unit.
Will transport add kilometres to our inventory?
No. Vehicles travel on the carrier, not under their own power, so new and pre-owned stock arrives with the same odometer reading it left with. This is the main reason dealers move inventory on a carrier instead of paying a driver to make the trip.
Do you move vehicles between auctions?
Yes. Auction-to-auction and auction-to-lot moves are a routine part of what we do for dealer clients, including multi-vehicle runs. Give us the release details and the pickup window and we will schedule around them.
Can you deliver straight to our customer?
Yes. We deliver out-of-province and out-of-market sales directly to the buyer, which lets you close a deal without the customer travelling to collect the vehicle. Delivery is door to door, and the buyer signs at handover.
Do you provide condition reporting?
Yes. Vehicle condition is documented at pickup and at delivery, to the standard dealerships expect for inventory moves. Both parties have a record of how the unit travelled.
Can we track vehicles while they are in transit?
Yes. Bookings are managed through our platform, so you can see where your vehicles are without calling for an update — which matters when you are moving several units at once and need to tell a customer or a sales manager when a unit lands.
Do you offer enclosed transport for high-line units?
Yes. Open transport suits most inventory movement and is the more economical option. Enclosed transport is available for high-value, luxury, exotic and collector units where you need the vehicle shielded from weather and road debris.
Can you move inventory across the border?
Yes. We run cross-border lanes in both directions between Canada and the United States, which covers sourcing inventory from US auctions and delivering Canadian stock to US buyers. Customs documentation requirements differ from a domestic move, so tell us the direction and the vehicle details when you book.
How far in advance do we need to book?
It depends on the lane and the season. Dense corridors within the GTA and between major markets can often be scheduled quickly, while long-distance and seasonal peak moves benefit from more notice. Get a live quote to see current availability for the specific route.
